Zero-Hours Contracts
The number of people whose main job is a zero-hours contract, an arrangement with no guaranteed minimum hours, so income can vary. They are concentrated among young people, students and workers in hospitality and care. When it rises, more workers carry that insecurity. This is collected less often than the monthly series, so the early line is sparser.
