What each party's central organisation actually lives on, from the annual accounts it files with the Electoral Commission. Covers the national party only, not local or constituency branches, which file separately. Election years lift the established parties, because that is when they raise and spend hardest, though a newer party's peak need not be an election year. Public funding, membership fees and commercial income are all included, alongside the donations captured in the central accounts.
